Augments

Augments are items that can be installed in machines and dynamos to improve (‘augment’) them in certain ways or to change how they work.

Usage

Augments can be installed in the Augmentation tab in the GUI of a machine or dynamo. The amount of augments that can be installed depends on the block’s tier. A basic machine or dynamo cannot be augmented.

Some augments can be installed multiple times, stacking their effects.

Certain augments are classified as ‘specializations’. Only one specialization augment can be installed at a time.

	Auxiliary Sieve	Machines with secondary products	Increases the chances of a machine producing a secondary product. However, also increases the amount of energy required per operation. Can be installed multiple times.
	Nullification Chamber	Machines with secondary products	Destroys excess secondary products when a machine's secondary output slot/tank is full, allowing it to keep working.
	Trivection Chamber	Redstone Furnace	A specialization that increases the amount of cooked food a redstone furnace produces when processing raw food. However, a redstone furnace can only process food when installed.
	Flux Anodizers	Redstone Furnace	A specialization that allows for a redstone furnace to process ores more efficiently. However, a redstone furnace can only process ores when installed.
	Pyrolytic Conversion	Redstone Furnace	A specialization that allows for a redstone furnace to process various plant-based materials into charcoal, and coal into coal coke. It also produces creosote oil as a byproduct when installed. However, when installed, a redstone furnace can only process these items and its maximum power usage (speed) is reduced by a factor of 10.
	Tectonic Initiator	Pulverizer	A specialization that allows for a pulverizer to process ores more efficiently using tectonic petrotheum. 100 mB of petrotheum is consumed per ore.
	Resin Funnel	Sawmill	A specialization that allows for a sawmill to extract fluids from wood while processing it, like resin and sap.
	Metallurgical Recovery	Induction Smelter	Provides a chance for an induction smelter to not consume metallurgical fluxes (such as sand and rich slag). However, also increases the amount of energy required per operation. Can be installed multiple times.
	Pyro-Concentrator	Induction Smelter	A specialization that allows for an induction smelter to process ores more efficiently using blazing pyrotheum. 100 mB of pyrotheum is consumed per ore.
	Nutrient Recovery	Phytogenic Insolator	Provides a chance for a phytogenic insolator to not consume fertilizer. However, also increases the amount of energy required per operation. Can be installed multiple times.
	Sapling Infuser	Phytogenic Insolator	Allows for a phytogenic insolator to grow trees.
	Monoculture Cycle	Phytogenic Insolator	A specialization that changes a phytogenic insolator to not consume non-fertilizer inputs. However, also increases the amount of energy required per operation, and significantly reduces the chances of producing secondary products.
	Numismatic Press	Compactor	A specialization that allows for a compactor to produce metal coins instead of plates.
	Gearworking Die	Compactor	A specialization that allows for a compactor to produce gears instead of plates.
	Pyroconvective Loop	Magma Crucible	A specialization that increases a magma crucible's maximum power usage (speed) by a factor of 10. However, a crucible can only produce lava when installed.
	Reflux Column	Fractionating Still	A specialization that increases a fractionating still's conversion efficiency when processing fossil fuels. However, a still can only process fossil fuels when installed.
	Alchemical Retort	Fractionating Still	A specialization that allows for a fractionating still to refine fluid potions, increasing their potency level. However, a still can only process potions when installed.
	Flux Linkage Concentrator	Energetic Infuser	A specialization that greatly increases an energetic infuser's maximum power usage (speed) when charging items that hold Redstone Flux. The machine will still be limited by the maximum charging rate of items it charges.
	Flux Reconstruction	Energetic Infuser	A specialization that allows for an energetic infuser to repair damaged items using essence of knowledge. However, an energetic infuser will no longer charge items when installed.
	Parabolic Flux Coupling	Energetic Infuser	A specialization that allows for an energetic infuser to wirelessly recharge flux capacitors of players within a radius of 32 blocks. However, an energetic infuser will no longer charge or process items directly when installed.
	Enstabulation Apparatus	Centrifugal Separator	A specialization that allows for a centrifugal separator to process filled morbs for mob drops and essence of knowledge. However, a centrifugal separator can only process morbs when installed.
	Pattern Validation	Sequential Fabricator	Allows for a sequential fabricator to handle item input more intelligently. Two input slots are designated for each crafting slot. Also allows auto-input to be enabled.
	Fluidic Fabrication	Sequential Fabricator	Allows for a sequential fabricator to craft recipes that include a fluid container item (such as a filled bucket) using fluids from an added input tank.
	Reagent Recovery	Alchemical Imbuer	Provides a chance for an alchemical imbuer to not consume reagents (brewing ingredients). However, also increases the amount of energy required per operation. Can be installed multiple times.
	Pyroclastic Injection	Igneous Extruder	A specialization that allows for an igneous extruder to work without cold fluids (water), so that only hot fluids (lava) are required.
	Clastic Deposition	Igneous Extruder	A specialization that allows for an igneous extruder to produce sedimentary rock, such as sand or gravel. However, an igneous extruder can only produce sedimentary rock when installed.

	Transmission Coil Ducting	Any dynamo	Allows items and fluids to enter a dynamo through its coil, which can normally only emit energy.
	Excitation Field Limiter	Any dynamo	Lowers the minimum power output of a dynamo to zero, preventing energy loss when it is active and cannot emit the energy it generates.
	Boiler Conversion	Steam Dynamo or Magmatic Dynamo or Compression Dynamo	A specialization that changes an applicable dynamo to convert water into steam instead of generating Redstone Flux. This increases fuel efficiency.
	Turbine Conversion	Steam Dynamo	A specialization that changes a steam dynamo to work on steam supplied from an external source.
	Isentropic Reservoir	Magmatic Dynamo	A specialization that greatly increases a magmatic dynamo's maximum power output and the amount of energy it generates from each unit of fuel. However, the dynamo requires coolant as well as fuel to generate energy.
	Closed-Loop Cooling	Compression Dynamo	A specialization that allows for a compression dynamo to work without consuming coolant. However, at least some coolant must be present in the dynamo for it to work.
	Ignition Plugs	Compression Dynamo	A specialization that greatly increases a compression dynamo's maximum power output and the amount of energy it generates from each unit of fuel. However, the dynamo can only generate energy using refined fuel.
	Agitative Manifold	Compression Dynamo	A specialization that greatly increases a compression dynamo's maximum power output and the amount of energy it generates from each unit of fuel. However, the dynamo can only generate energy using grassoline.
	Elemental Catalyzer	Reactant Dynamo	A specialization that greatly increases a reactant dynamo's maximum power output and the amount of energy it generates from each reaction. However, the dynamo can only generate energy from elemental reactions, like between blazing pyrotheum and cryotheum dust.
	Disjunctive Extraction	Enervation Dynamo	A specialization that allows for an enervation dynamo to use enchanted items as fuel, and greatly increases its maximum power output. However, the dynamo can only generate energy using enchanted items.
	Lapidary Calibration	Numismatic Dynamo	A specialization that allows for a numismatic dynamo to use various gemstones as fuel, and greatly increases its maximum power output and the amount of energy it generates from each unit of fuel. However, the dynamo can only generate energy using gemstones.
